Troop 114

Today Zachary Gill held his first work day for his Eagle Scout Project. We got a lot done! Thanks to everyone who showed up to help.

Congratulations to our newest eagle scout! Ty Murray has achieved the rank of Eagle through his perseverance and hard work.

On December 22, 2012 we took a canoeing trip to Wacissa River and went down the Slave Canal. Getting to see the beautiful landscape on the water was worth the trip.

On December 16, 2012 we took a self-defense class as a troop. We learned a lot and had a lot of fun.

On December 10, 2012, a friend of Troop 114 came in and talked to us. He is a licensed taxidermist and taught us about how he preserves his animals and brought models and taxidermy pieces for us to see.

On December 9, 2012 we went on a hike along the Florida Trail.

On December 8, 2012, we had a canoeing trip at Maclay Gardens State Park. We got to bust out the new canoes and had a lot of fun.

On December 3, 2012 we held our annual Flag Retirement Ceremony. We are one of the few organizations that are allowed to retire American flags and it is a great honor to get to remove these flags from duty.

On November 20, 2012 Nick Dietrich passed his final Eagle Board review and is ready to receive the rank of Eagle. Congratulations!

Here is our new fire pit. It is a great improvement to our old one and will host great fires for our Tree Lot work days and annual Flag Retirement Ceremonies.
