Join us for fun on the beach. The primitive youth camp area (pictured above) has a cold shower station and also there is nice restroom nearby. This is a great isolated site; there is a shallow boat ramp nearby, btw. We can also take the kayaks; someone will need to assist in pulling those. Received reports of whiting being caught surf side. Plan on double elimination volleyball game for patrols, and lots of fun! Let Scout Master Willis know ASAP if you want to attend.
This Saturday is the annual church clean-up workday. This is another way that we try to give back to our sponsors. It will also count as volunteer hours that many of you need to advance in rank and for school. If you come at 7:30 you will get breakfast before the work day begins. I had nine boys raise there hand that they were coming. Parents are always invited to come and help. It would be helpful to have some parents stay with the boys. If you have any yard tools, especially rakes, shovels, lopers, please bring them. We have always had a good turn out for this work day.
Springtime is a great time to join Troop 114. Over the course of a few meetings, new scouts can become familiar with our troop, just in time to take advantage of great summer camp opportunities. Stop in for a visit and get to know our scouts and leaders. We’re certain that you’ll feel right at home.
